Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV takes a familiar family crossover SUV and gives it a more electrified edge. Power comes from a 2.4-liter MIVEC gasoline engine paired with front and rear electric motors, with the system producing a maximum electric output of 302 hp. The front motor and rear motors work with Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control system for confident traction. A 22.7-kWh traction battery supplies the electric power, while the 53-liter fuel tank adds flexibility for longer journeys.

With its five-seat layout, the Outlander PHEV is designed as much for everyday family duties as it is for electrified driving. The cabin features an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with memory and lumbar support, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and a matching 12.3-inch full TFT multimedia screen. A panoramic power sunroof, triple-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, a Yamaha eight-speaker sound system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto add plenty of comfort and convenience. Outside, 20-inch wheels, LED lighting, roof rails, and a hands-free power tailgate give the crossover a substantial road presence.

Technology and safety are also central to the Outlander PHEV experience. Its equipment includes a 360-degree multi-around monitor, head-up display, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision mitigation, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and driver attention alert. With MacPherson strut front suspension, a multi-link rear setup, ventilated disc brakes, and an AC charging system, the Outlander PHEV rounds out its plug-in hybrid package with a focus on comfort, control, and everyday usability.
